Vortex is a repetitive motion alternating between Lift up and Drop On. When done right the trick creates the illusion of a “hoop tornado”,as the name suggest.

Once you’re comfortable preforming both Lift Up and Drop On preform a Lift Up with your dominant hand. Once your arm is fully extended switch hands and preform Drop on.
